About Home Euthanasia
Described by a Veterinarian

My name is Dr. Karen Kelly and I have been a practicing veterinarian since 1995. I provide a loving and caring housecall euthanasia service.

Being at home with your pet in this difficult time alleviates the stress and anxiety associated with the vets office. The euthanasia is a two step process.

Your pet is first given a sedative which relaxes him/her in about 5-15 minutes. During this time you and your loved ones are able to pet and talk to your pet as he/she falls asleep.

The second step is the actual euthanasia which is an intravenous injection of an overdose of an anesthetic agent into the back leg. This injection is painless and only takes about 30-60 seconds for the heart to stop. It is very peaceful and nonpainful.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions by email or at (310) 804-6447.”
